The fun was infectious all day long at Jen and Owen’s wedding. From the time Madge Lejano busted out her airbrush, to when Ernest Pascual lined up the entourage at the church, up to the portrait sessions by Metrophoto on the third floor patio of Shangri-la makati.

It was quite an intimate affair with only close friends and family in attendance.

And oh, it was a great surprise to see Don Bosco church sans the big, ugly electric fans lined up in the aisles.

Asya Premiere, Boracay

Any ordinary day, I’d tell you how amazingly beautiful Asya in Boracay was. The beach was pristine, privacy was assured, the villas were luxurious and the view was simply breathtaking.

I made a mental note to go back for vacation.

So there’s that. But what I really want to tell you was that Abi and Duke’s wedding was the very first time in my entire career (all thirteen years) that no professional (nor amateur) photographer was around to capture the day’s events.

Not a single DSLR was in sight.

It was weird yes but the couple saw fit that film will capture their big day the best.

Hard to Concentrate

Somewhere tucked in the town of Balete in Batangas is an expansive, Balinese inspired resort venue. The details are painstaking and impressive. It’s truly worth a visit if you have the chance.

It was the venue of Yna and Myles wedding. The heat was unbearable in the morning but it slowly cooled down in the afternoon. Thanks to a light shower.

Many of the couple’s friends trooped to the destination for the emotional ceremony and a night of hard partying.

On a different note -

Father forgive me for using a song I am unable to license. It was the couple’s choice and I personally like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I promise to slip Flea or Anthony Kiedis fifty bucks for the license. If they ask for more I can only go as high as 100. I promise to not do it again, unless the request is a song from the XX or REM. Please absolve me of my copyright sins. aka. They made me do it.

Love Is a Choice

Love is a choice.

Initially, it’s an easy one, what with romance and the courtship and the fuzzy feeling inside.

Then it becomes tougher and challenging. The fuzzy feeling, the anniv cards and the flowers have gone and faded. In place are dissatisfaction, resentment and ultimately apathy.

(I’m sorry, who’s jaded in this room?)

Do you stick it out or call it quits? It’s for you to decide. But make no mistake, it’s your choice and your choice alone.
