Shot this wedding again with Pat Dy (he’s like crazy hot nowadays, OK, Francis his second shooter is too). Michelle wore a Paul Cabral and the entire wedding was planned, coordinated and executed by JP Montilla.
and yet another email I couldn’t help but reprint =)
Our Family is now your biggest fan…
hi there, i’m the sis of angela (luy-tan october 4, 2009) , the onsite video you did for her wedding was simply the best…. yun talaga yung highlight nung wedding nila… thanks !!!! being a mom… siyempre fave part ko yung part na you caught my boy ( the ring bearer) playing around with his cousins (ang kulit kasi nagtutulakan sila dun )… nacapture talaga yung kakulitan ng anak ko, i can now say my son was in one of your videos… haha… i will definitely have it copied and show it to all my friends hehe ( proud mom kasi eh… super thanks…. and more power… - Sharon
It’ interesting how the mind works sometimes, I go into the bride’s hotel room, scan the surrounding, check for interesting camera placement, movement, color and texture.
Being a regular speaker at workshops and seminars, I get asked a lot - “what is your style?”
It’s a tough question to answer really. Because I find myself doing all sorts. I had my cinematic phase and my music video moments. I’ve had my share of tear-jerkers and and laugh out loud pieces. But after watching Erika’s video a couple of days after her wedding (I always do that, to revel in the moment and to see what can be improved on), a lightbulb lit in my head and I realized that however I edit or shoot a piece, there is one constant - the patience and precision by which we are able to capture the fleeting.
An uncanny ability to be at the right place at the right moment. To capture that tear, that glance and that sigh.
Many thanks to Erika for posting the sweetest things in my Facebook wall. I just had to post this …
..i have a window on my PC open all day at work that immediately leads me to the same-day edit that you made for us. see, i’m still in DC and ambi’s in NY/NJ, and i’ll only be moving there in august. so when there are moments during the day at work when life seems so mundane and he seems so far from me, your video takes me back to that beautiful day when we made those vows. i know, i know…drama! haha…but i just wanted to thank you again for giving me - us - something to hohd on to till we get old and gray. wala talagang kupas ang ginawa mo para sa amin.
At the inital meeting last year, Cherrie pretty much knew what she wanted for the SDE, she even got me an mp3 copy of the music.
You’ll know it when you listen to it, but the song just dictated the way the video was to be shot and edited. i guarantee you the last song syndrome will strike (Hymne by Era).
I’d like to thank Bob Nicolas, Ian cruz and John de Guzman for getting me the crane shot of San Antonio.
That’s a big question to answer, what were they doing there in a wedding I’m shooting? Let’s just say there’s a lot of exciting news to break this coming June so get ready for that.
