Joan and Mike: Canyon Woods

During the preps, the suppliers were discussing amongst themselves that the bride for this wedding was so perfect (pretty, tall, well mannered, pleasant,) that she had to have a “flaw” somewhere.  We really couldn’t pinpoint anything so we just kinda surmised that she a.) snores loudly when she sleeps or b.)  she had 6 toes.  Joan of course was at the center of the conversation, gamely bantering with us.  She did not confirm nor deny the issue regarding the phalanges.

On the other hand, Mike works for Ebay in San Francisco.  He doesn’t admit it but he’s hooked on online auctions.  More rumors say he was gonna sell the undershirt he was wearing on the  wedding day to the highest bidder.  It was very very warm that day so we expect to command a high initial bid.

December is peak season for weddings here in the Philippines (along with January).  The weather is cooler and people who work in other countries time their vacation leaves to go home.  And of course the holiday season is more festive, more happy.  It’s the third week of January now and I still feel the Christmas hangover.

Jennifer and Ruel are actually from the UK.  They had to move their wedding date from June to December to accommodate the schedules of people who would have wanted to go home and attend.  Filipino weddings, after all, is all about family and friends.  =)

What do you do when you have a ten am wedding in Tagaytay?  You travel and check in the day before of course! (and have wine and crackers with friends for a good nights sleep).

We’re usually harassed for weddings this early but surprisingly not so for this one.  The vibes were good and the spirits uppity.  This may well have to do with the infectious personality of Cindy our dear bride.

Work felt like play. ;-)

Here’s the same day edit -

Veluz (fab gown designer) said it best …

Nope, this is not a photo shoot.
This is a real wedding and she’s a real bride.
An absolutely gorgeous bride :-)

(But Ted isn’t chopped liver either!)

Greetings to all my Videographer friends in Brazil!

“Our love is so strong that we have already created life.”

Such perfect words uttered during the beautiful ceremony at Caleruega Chapel in Tagaytay.

It was our first time to shoot in Hacienda Isabella and I must say the place was gorgeous!

I’m proud to say this video is a study in capturing the moment.  An almost overused, sometimes misused  term in the industry.

Sandra and Aldren

Just before flying out to Baltimore we had the great oppurtunity to document Sandra and Aldren’s wedding in Tagaytay midlands.

Our bride handpicked this ES Posthumus song for an extra dramatic push.

The crowd held their breath while we were showing like as always do when showing an SDE.

Congratulations guys!
