Love is the tears flowing from a father’s face while still grieving the loss of his beloved wife. Hands clutching tightly the image of her memory. That is love.
What do you do when you have a ten am wedding in Tagaytay? You travel and check in the day before of course! (and have wine and crackers with friends for a good nights sleep).
We’re usually harassed for weddings this early but surprisingly not so for this one. The vibes were good and the spirits uppity. This may well have to do with the infectious personality of Cindy our dear bride.
Kat was dead set on marrying Noman. She equally made up her mind on what music to your for the SDE. Dramatic - check. Heart - pounding-check. Moving check!
The music, without context may seem over the top at first, but, but the choice becomes genius when palced side by side with the masquerade theme of their wedding.
I have never seen the Glass Garden in Marikina, SOOOOO Gorgeous! (Thanks to Teddy Manuel). There’s a certain charm to long tables that I’m drawn to.
Dirty little secret #127: I like Taylor Swift. Despite all appearances that I love my music on the loud side, I love her pop melodies and her lilting voice. She’s hot too. Majorly!
Ms. Swift aside, I’m excited to share this video because Clarissa is actually the third bride I’ve shot in the Garza family. There was Judy and Janice and now Clarissa. I am profoundly grateful for the trust and appreciation. Now give it a rest and give your Dad a break! (I can’t possibly fathom giving away three daughters in a span of five years).

We were asked to go a full hour earlier than the usual call time to capture the groom’s surprise to his bride. Richard wrote a letter to Maribel to be read by four of her friends. The letter recounted the three years they’ve been together, how they’re relationship flourished and how expectant he was of their wedding here in the Philippines.
This became the crux of the Same Day Edit. (How can in not be?)
I’ve been very fortunate to have worked with the finest (and friendliest) photographers over the course of our near-ten year career as a photographer.
I struggled and succeeded and struggled and succeeded with Dino Lara from the very start.
I was fortunate to have worked with pillars of the industry very early in my career (Patrick Uy, Wig Tysmans, Eddieboy Escudero).
I saw how MangoRed broke very single rule there is about wedding photography (and yet continue to flourish).
I’ve worked countless of times with Mimi and Karl who quietly and subtly brought back female sensibilities and elegance (with a kick) to photographs.
And then there’s Oly Ruiz of Metro Photo.
He’s only been at it for less than two years. But that is what patience, talent, hard work, business savvy and MORE hard work bring. It doesn’t hurt that he’s genuinely nice too. Here’s the video we whipped up for him for his brand re-launch). (I mean really?! Who thinks about branding on their second year?).
