Tisha and Teody: Abaca Resort, Mactan
Cebu, videos, weddings September 11th, 2008EDIT: Here’s more about Tisha nad Teody’s wedding from MangoRed’s site.
I know things will always be better. - These words spoken by the bride never rang so true.
Tisha and Teody were supposed to wed this December in the Grand Convention Center in Cebu, circumstances led them to reschedule for January 2009.
Last week Wednesday I got a call from Tisha.
“Brace yourself Jason. Are you ready for this?” (her usual bubbly self)
“I’m holding on to my seat, spell it out.” (anxious and giddy)
“Are you free this Monday, September 8 for my wedding?”
Momentary pause. Just a moment though. “Send me the tickets! We’re flying to Cebu”.
And so we pushed the shooting sked to five days. Nothing that Red Bull can’t handle really.
You see, I cannot miss this wedding for the world. Not after the almost year long planning conversations, not after the back-stories of the wedding, not after the tribulations the couple had to go through to make it happen. This time, September 8, nothing will stop this, for better or worse - It will happen!
It’s scary sometimes when you invest a part of yourself in the stories of couples. You dig so deep from within to put soul in the project. It’s taxing, exhausting even, but the rewards are so worth it.

The 50 person wedding was held in the gorgeous gorgeous Abaca Resort in Mactan, Cebu. Planning a wedding in eight days or so is no mean feat. But thanks to the help of the Association of Sugbu’s Wedding Planners and Coordinators, Inc. (ASWPC), of which Tisha is the secretary, everything was executed hitch-free.
Once again we, along with Mangored, were treated extra special by the beautiful planners (STANZ!, Boni, Ritchie, Connie, Ralyn, Ritchie, Claire and Bong- don’t kill me if I forgot somebody, the Mojito got to me). Faces turned red and mangoes turned green as we partied the night away. Thanks guys! Til’ the next round.

Stanz, Stanz, Stanz!
You were first on my list when I was writing this but didn’t want to appear too biased for the the Diva!
Accept my humblest apologies. hahaha.
Dreams do come true!
Its really fun working with you and your team… I once wrote in your blog that hope ill work with you in one events here in cebu…and it did happen

ei Jason and the rest of the team….meeting you was a blast! thanks for the time and the bonding…
Outstanding video, Jason. And considering this was finished in one day, it becomes even more impressive. - Marvis (Tisha’s brother)
I told Tisha this already. My favorite scene from the video, is the finger tapping while Tisha was hugging Teody. I’m impressed. Details like those usually go unnoticed. But you captured it. Kudos. You’re in my list now.
Beautiful video! It really captured, not just the wedding, but their love story as well. ~ Leigh, Tisha’s friend.
The most tender moment here for me is the bride leaning her chin on her dad’s shoulder as they walked the aisle (2:28). Brilliant capture of a very meaningful moment.
Thanks guys.
When I was re-watching the video, I noticed a lot more details popping here and there.
Your big lump in the throat Marvis!
And how sweet your parents are to this day.
Thanks for the oppurtunity to document this.
great video! for something made less than a day, this one made it to my awesome list

There’s something about that music (Eva’s version of Songbird) that fits perfectly with that wedding. The colors, the angles, everything ,.. is perfect. Thanks for posting this one. -erle- ( teody’s friend )
Hi Jason. Gosh, here I am writing comments again. What can I say but we LOVE you for creating this masterpiece for us (I know you missed dinner as you were still in the room, editing). Absolutely beautiful. Captured the essence of the day, reflected our love story. It makes me tear up every time we watch it (and God knows I watch it more than once everyday!). Thank you for being part of our wedding. And for this wonderful gift.
Hey you, Tito Jason. Thank you for the nice video you made for my Tatee and Tito Teody. Bye! - Kaye, flower girl
Hey Kaye! You dear girl are most welcome!
Jason, we check in every now and then to see what you’re up to. I was thinking about your shooting style after watching this piece and “it” finally came to me. You’ve got an eye and a talent for capturing small visual nuances of emotion that stitch together an engaging summary of the couple’s day. When I designed your adapter, it came from a love for portraiture and the stories that faces tell. This piece is 24 portraits per second…and most of the frames could stand alone.
It’s what makes you special.
Cheers,
Dennis Wood
Beautiful.

I was at the reception when this video was being played and I was crying the whole time. So beautiful!!!
BRAVO, Jason!
CONGRATULATIONS, Mr & Mrs Teody Cue!
