Paulynn Chang and Paul Afable
weddings July 9th, 2008Here’s an apt image from last weekend’s wedding which pretty much sums up Paul and Paulynn’s big day.

To say it was emotional is an understatement.
A great amount of tears welled up because Paulynn’s dad was sorely missed. His passing, although already a couple of years back, was still greatly felt the entire day.
Nonetheless his father still walked her down the aisle.

One of the highlights of the dinner reception was a letter by Mr. Chang read by her mom, written ten days before he passed away. (reprinted with kind permission from Paulynn and her mom)

My dearest Paulynn,
You have to be the most beautiful bride in this world. My beautiful daughter; Paul’s beautiful bride.
I had wanted to be here as you know. I AM HERE in soul and spirit. I watch you brimming with pride. So proud of you, Paulynn.
And I will be with you and Paul beyond this wedding day. For your family, your children. Grandpa will play with them. Grandpa will watch over all of you.
Dream your dreams; reach for your dreams; only then will you find them. Wish you the most beautiful wedding today.
No regrets Paulynn, no regrets. I have nothing to forgive you. I just love you. Get on with your life. The best is yet to be.
Yes, I could also have been more demonstrative of my love for you guys. But we were given a 2nd chance. That’s plenty. Thanks for showing.
Now, let us celebrate life! The circle of life – it goes on. Taste every moment of it! Nature, people, family, friends. Celebrate!
God bless you. God loves each one of you. I join Him and Mama Mary in blessing you. I love you so dearly.
Dad
Watch the Onsite Video.

Can’t help crying while reading thru the letter. More so, watching the same day edit. Wonderfully done. Masterfully crafted. Another Jason Magbanua masterpiece!
grabe! tnis onsite made me cry so much. you truly captured the emotions and made me feel everything that was going on in their wedding. ganda!!!
Thanks all. I just realized that the impact of the videos that we create would always be greater if put into context of the whole wedding story.
Something perhaps, only the attendees have the privilege of.
But I guess sharing the video in itself, serves as a glipmse to the wedding day.
yes, tears flowed non-stop as i remember Paul Chang, how he cherished his family, his friends, and how he gracefully accepted His will.
congratulations to Paul and Paulynn, with Paul Chang looking after you, and Mrs Chang there for you, you will never go wrong. Love each other selflessly, and may you always be blessed.
Jason, that video was a-perfect. my daughter enjoyed it too, and said she would want you for her wedding a few years from now.
Hi Dine!
I suddenly missed Mr. Chang. I’ll always remember him as one of the nicest pro staff who visited the Cash Room. He never gave me any headache.
As a parent, I can relate to how he was feeling when he wrote his last letter to daughter Paulynn.
Thanks for sharing this very beautifully executed video.
Regards,
Bea
To our dearest Jason,
Thank you so much for a beautiful, beautiful video! Everyone who has seen the video (and believe us, that’s a lot of people — my mom sent the link to all her friends!) has said that they loved it! A lot of them even cried again! Heehee.
Jason, may we say that you get better and better as the years go by? Getting you to document our wedding was one of the best decisions we’ve made. I’m 100% sure our Dad would agree.
See ya soon!
All the best,
Mr. & Mrs. Afable
