Ann and Weng: Boracay Regency
weddings June 2nd, 2008Just when I thought summer was going to pass without me stepping on sand and shore again, we were able to fly in to Boracay two days before summer officially ended.
All fears of rain were set aside - the weather was P-E-R-F-E-C-T!

The churched looked great with full draping (hiding the unsightly trusses and GI sheets).

People from all over came for the wedding and the awesome dinner reception cum party at the Boracay Regency. Ann was actually based in Aklan, but was originally from Davao. A great contingent also flew in from Iloilo. The guests numbered around 180 more or less, the most for any Bora shoot we’ve had.

I have to thank and Ann and Weng especially for being such good hosts. We never felt like working and felt more like family. And Ann, thanks for the Havaianas! They fit perfectly!
And here’s the Photomontage that stopped the entire Station 2 in its tracks:

I absolutely love the pacing and feel of this piece. It had such a warm romantic feel but was so upbeat and heartwarming at the same time. I’ve seen many different Onsite edits from your team where you have worked text into the production in one way or another but I must say, this one certainly tops them all. The graphic work was very original and tied into the piece so well. o top it all off, what gorgeous beach footage.

Sweet video man! Evolution is fun huh?
I love the beaches in the Philippines - I should post up my vacation video on youtube sometime. We were out in Camarines Sur, and then we went up to those islands where they filmed the French Survivor TV show. Lucky for us, we made it there before all the crews landed, so the beaches were still untouched and beautiful!

It’s a great honor for you guys to have commented on the post first. The roster of internationally renowned videographers up there is truly humbling.

Thanks Pat. Glad you liked this one. With Stillmotion and Mayad pushing the bar for SDEs, it would be a shame not to push further. This web community thing of videogs is really doing wonders for the industry.

Yep, I did the CWC adventure. It was really hard! Eventually I made it around, but it took a few face-plants. I got a keychain, haha. L-Ray even flew around in his chopper, what a showoff. I really wanna go back! (i wish it didn’t cost so much to fly there…)
