Tin and Phil: Little Wonders

weddings 25 Comments »

Several days after Christmas and the Holiday fever is still on. Tin and Phil went for a winter wonderland theme with their wedding.

For some strange reason, I always associate the word snowflake with the Jim Carrey movie Ace Ventura. “Sonwflaaaake! Here Snowflaaake!”

Perhaps one of the most unforgettable weddings we’ve ever taken (for reasons obvious and otherwise).

Janice and Alvin: A Boracay Wedding in December

weddings 11 Comments »

I’ve always heard raves about Discover Shores in Boracay ever since they started operating early this year. as I entered the resort and the loft unit, I realized the hype lived up to expectations. The place was gorgeous.

Janice and Alvin’s wedding was intimate and small, but well thought out. From the Carolina Herrera gown, the Sunblock which came with the welcome kit, the John Varvatos sandals Alvin wore and the Boy Bawang given in that same welcome kit.

Jake, their two year old, was the ring bearer.

One of the highlights of the wedding actually happened before the ceremony. Alvin surprised Jan with an elegant Cartier Ladies Tank watch. Little did Alvin know that his wife had something up her sleeves too. Jan arranged for a secret Boudoir photo session with Mimi and Karl and gave the pictures as a surprise gift. And boy, was he ever!

Check out the Onsite Video we made for the couple.

It’s too bad we have to leave Bora today. Can’t wait for the next time.

Butch’s silly grin couldn’t be more wider than on the day he got married.

Luzel and Gary: the devil is in the details

weddings 3 Comments »

Talk about the nitty-gritty, we took some two hours shooting footage of all the meticulously prepared details of Gary and Luzel’s wedding. I usually have three minutes of wedding stuff, this time it was more like 30. Check it out …

*OK OK, the spelling sucked on this one. It was 3AM, my monitor was tiny, MY 6 year old typed the text yadda yadda! But this is staying until I get around to re-editing it. Thanks for the heads up Karl.

And of course, here’s the onsite video as painstakingly planned and executed as the wedding.

We shot the wedding with 2007 W@W Supplier of the Year Mimi and Karl and the whole shebang was coordinated flawlessly by Ernest Pascual of Events Events.

Trixie and John: the beautiful ones

I finally got to develop and scan my roll shot during the bridal preps …

Trixie and John

It was a blast from the past because Fr. Sonny Ramirez officiated the wedding. I had visions of myself as a tweener watching him in RPN 9, contrite and praying hair woudn’t grow on my hands. ;-)

Freezing cold and windy! You’d think that God created another climate specifically for Tagaytay in December.

But the smiles and hugs of friends and family kept the weather warm. For a guest list of 300++, it’s amazing that everybody knew everybody else. Kim of course, had the most radiant smile.
