Wedding Essentials Promo Video

Hot in the heels of the Third Anniversary appreciation party last Monday, the Wedding Essentials crew partnered with Shangri-la Mactan and Rustan’s for an invite only dinner and fashion show last March 24 (do these people ever sleep?)

Here’s the video we made for WE shown prior to the show. We’ll wait for EIC Marbee’s rundown of the event.

Wedding Essentials Turns 3

Inarguably the hottest bridal magazine to come out of the Philippine publishing scene, Wedding Essentials held an appreciation party last March 19 at the Rockwell Tent. It was an awesome assembly of wedding suppliers who had a grand time with the eats and entertainment. If some twisted mind conceived of a plot to bomb the tent that night, the entire wedding industry of the country will collapse overnight. ;)

We were fortunate enough to get cited as one of three companies who came up with the best print ads for the magazine. Here is mine. Making the award sweeter was the fact that Cynthia Bauzon-Arre (art director of WE and one of the country’s best graphic/web designers) got to pick the best from the lot. Now that’s saying a lot.

Kudos to Pang for laying out the ad.

The food was great and the city bustling with life.  We had the most amazing roller coaster ride at Genting Highlands and the closest we’ve come to snow.
The quick getaway was fun. And I was able to snap off a keeper during our last night.

After six weeks of waiting, the packages from EventDV and 4eg finally came. I eagerly made a trip to the post office to claim the parcel.

We got the magazines… (check out the article)

And of course, my very own baseball trading card, yeehaw!

My kids are so psyched. “Daddy’s on a trading card! Let’s trade him for the Undertaker!”

It was detox time from Feb 23rd to the 27th as me and the whole crew and my entire immediate family as well as Dinolara’s whole gang took a trip to Boracay Island. It was as beautiful as I remembered it. Camera in tow, videographer turns into photographer…

Perhaps my favorite picture of all - reckless abandon on the sand (ahhh to be young again)

One of the highlights of the trip was when Orange County wedding videographer Julie Hill (Elysium Productions) dropped by to chat, observe, shoot and help out. Her main trip was actually in Negros Occidental where she documented doctors on a medical mission. It was the most fun swapping stories about the industry and comparing the differences in wedding cultures. Oh, they charge $5000 ++ a wedding (put jaw back up here).

One word I picked up from Julie is GINORMOUS! (As in gigantic + enormous)
As in this sand castle…

as in our appetites - a 30 person long table at Seawind’s seafood grill buffet…
