Having a blast here in Boracay Island. Second time here but it feels like the first time all over again.

We’re here for work (honest!), but extending our stay until Tueday. Still nobody to answer your phonecalls and sms (the whole crew is here). After being holed up at the office day in and out editing , sunburn suddenly becomes a good thing.

The wedding was just plain beautiful. The couple absolutely gorgeous.

Some of the best things in this earthly life come from Japan - sushi, Gundam, harajuku girls and cup noodles.

To quote the host - “Takayuki (the grooom), is handsome, has a great body, affectionate, loyal, talented AND NOT GAY! What more can you ask for?”

As Windie (the bride) put it - “It’s like winning the lottery, tax free!”

There’s a certain thrill in recording the vows exchanged during the wedding ceremony. You know these are words not to be taken lightly. It’s somethng to look back to when it’s time to reminisce and more importantly, when it’s time to be reminded. I always ask this of my couples. Did you write your own vows? No? Think it over, if not then, when?

And yet there’s an even bigger thrill when hints of rock and roll prose are seamlessly woven into the lifetime commitment.

You have been in my dreams long before I even met you.

The music that we choose for a particular piece is, to a great extent, influenced by whatevers on rotation in my player right now. Case in point - Dashboard Confessional’s latest record Dusk and Summer. We had free reign with the song choice as long as it was in the alternapop genre. Stolen was first to come to mind.

Willen and Krisitne’s SDE is a music video in the real sense of the phrase. Gorgeous colors, quirky camera movement and a quick paced edit. It was a risky venture for a tough Sino crowd but the gamble turned out well and the presentation was heavily applauded.
