Ivy and Chris

Barely enough time to consume Noche Buena leftovers and we’re back in the saddle again. :-)

I was moved by the tearful ceremony held at the Patio of Makati Shangri-la. But the crazy thing was, I wasn’t there! This wedding was ably documented by the Second Team, with Pang doing the onsite duties. Company favorite Keane provides the sometimes-aching-but-ultimately-hopeful soundtrack.

Take a look at this moving video ironically from a couple who was all fun. We had a field day with the kikay bride hamming it up for the camera the whole day. Props to Brian Dorr for the music inspiration.

Monnette and Jay: I need my caffeine!

About once a year, we get to book an eight o’clock morning wedding. As you’ll see in the video, the day starts very very early. We’re talking about moonlight baby, not even sunrise. But really nothing a good piping hot cup of java can’t take care of.

That said, I really dig this piece we made for the couple. It feels very trailer-like, long enough to cover the essentials, short enough to leave you wanting for more.

Watch their breathtaking Onsite Video.

Leah has goto to be one of the funnniest and coolest brides in recent memory. Ang kulit! But beyond the comic veneer of the family, you can see how emotional the day was.

The Onsite Video is an offbeat Orange and Lemons rendition of an Eraserheads song. Watch it here.

My 32nd Birthday Bash!

My wife gave me a surprise birthday party last December 4. And, was I ever surprised!

Props to her for pulling it off flawlessly as well as all my friends who came over. Check out the pictures at Dino’s blog.

We thought we were having fun already but we were proved wrong when the one and only Rico J. Puno took the stage and rendered a song. With the hundreds of songs in his discography, he sang the one. The crowd went wild and the party sored to new levels.

WE give drunk as a skunk a new meaning!

There was so much to shoot in this wedding yet so little tape.

The beautiful bride. The dashing groom. The fedora hats. The funky eyeshadow. The vintage Jaguar. The forties vibe. The talented singers. The gorgeous ladies.

We simulated old film with a bleached semi-sepia look and film clutter here and there.

The imagery in this video was just simply awesome.

Talk about taking the theme to heart.

Here’s the video.
