So thats how a free weekend feels like.

Traditionally, August has been pretty slow for weddings, and this year is no exception. Been finding ourselves free on weekends and have been taking advantage of it…

August 12-14. Went to Sagada with John,Bong and Den. Read up all about it at Bong’s blog. Pardon me but I have miserably failed to send him my pictures.

August 19-20. With whole family in tow, we experience first hand how it is to become Tiger-Chow in Subic. I think my four year old was traumatized for life.

Keane: Under the Iron Sea Tour

whatnot No Comments »

Learning our lesson from the Coldplay concert last July, we got better seats (or the lack thereof) for Keane’s concert last night (August 9th). We were front and center this time in the free standing area. My two hour wait before the gates opened proved to be worth the while as only a group of diminutive highschool girls were in front of us.

It was explicitly announced that no photographic or video equipment would be allowed. But damn if I didn’t bring home one picture to announce to the world that I was there. Pang, my wife, brilliantly suggested that she bring the sling bag where my camera was placed instead of me. I swear I was holding my breath for a full minute when we were undergoing the security check. We were let in hitch free! Ahh the joys of truant beahavior!

Here’s my favorite of the lot:

Being front and center is the ONLY way to watch a concert. And this experience proved it. The band, the music, the show enthralled us no end. Contrary to popular belief, Keane did more than brood and sulk (Somewhere Only We Know, Bedshaped), apparently, they also knew how to rock (Is it Any Wonder?, Crystal Ball, Bend and Break). I envisioned a quiet, intimate show but was blown away with how they brought the house down in the arena.

More words to perfectly describe the experience are elusive right now. Perhaps in another entry, another day, I’ll post more pictures, more words.

So still immersed right now. So difficult to detach. )

How to recover a stolen MacBook

After the two button mouse, the macfolks again have something to rejoice about.

The service enables the iSight camera to take periodic pictures of the scumbag who stole the notebook. It sends screenshots of the system too so you can gather intel about Mr. Sticky-fingers.

It’s very Bond-chic. Makes you wan to have your MBP stolen so you can check if the service really works.
