iPod + Video + Wedding

We recently added a gallery in the main site specifically for iPod video downloads. It’s not rocket science to acquire, sync and view them on your precious player.

To the grooms, thank me later for giving you the best excuse to get one.

It’’s sacrilege to speak of photography first before videomaking in this blog but you can hardly call me devout.

I picked up a DSLR a month back and have been seriously playing with it since. There are definite parallels with videography like composition and framing but photography was an entirely novel experience. Here’s what I surmised so far:

* Unlike video where you can roll tape forever, you have a mere split second to capture your subject.
* Photographs leave much to the imagination, the context in which the picture was taken will always be a mystery to those who look.
* A photographer always hits and misses, a good one just has a better batting average.

I filled out 200 megs of a CF last Black Friday, I ended up choosing a mere ten images.

But for all it’s difficulty I’d still like to see a photog weave something out of moving images, music, text and spoken word like videographers do.

It had to happen eventually. Everybody else is doing it so why can’t I?

Welcome to my weblog. : )
