It’s not everyday that one of the bands who wrote half the soundtrack of your life flies in and performs in our teensy part of the world.

This time shopping was the gravy, it was Mr. Smith we flew in for.
With his amazing guitar prowess and vocal range faithful to the albums, you woudn’t think the guy was pushing 50.
The show ran for 2.5 hours, well worth the admission price. Name one song you know from the Cure and they probably played it (yep, even Boys Don’t Cry).
The requisite “we were there” picture.
And as an extra added treat – Imago, Pedicab and Sandwich (who were also in HK for the Cure) scored a couple of gigs during their stay. We were very very fortunate to catch the three bands at the Wanch along Jaffe road.
Pedicab did a version of Boys Don’t Cry.
Sandwich had an astounding set including Alkohol and Magasin (Eraserheads), Laklak (by Teeth), and StateU (by Yano).
Rock and Roll hanggang umaga!
